The PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) treatment used by Foster represents cutting-edge nanotechnology for physical vapour deposition. Developed since 2010 through a meticulous in-house Research & Development process, this treatment is not simply a paint finish and does not use harmful chemicals, ensuring a high level of environmental sustainability.

PVD applications on products from the Foster range

Within the Foster range, PVD coating is applied across the board to create coordinated and elegant kitchen environments, available in a range of distinctive colours such as Gun Metal, Gold, Copper, Brandy, Sunset and PVD Black. The main applications include:

  • Built-in sinks and basins: The application of PVD to sinks and basins ensures superior protection against everyday wear and tear and food stains. The reduction in surface friction facilitates water drainage, whilst maintaining the lustre of the underlying brushed steel over time.
  • Mixer taps and taps: Available in the same colours as the sinks (as in the Skin Concept range), PVD-treated mixer taps retain the lustre of their finishes without being affected by constant rubbing or limescale build-up, ensuring perfect colour continuity with the basin.
  • Hobs: The outstanding thermal resistance and high hardness of Foster PVD make it ideal for coating the surfaces of gas hobs, withstanding the direct heat of the flames and the thermal shock from cookware.
